Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Romans 1: 19-20
We all know God exists. Our great and glorious God has placed that information in each of us. In His infinite wisdom He has even showed his handywork in the things we cannot see.
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Romans 1: 21-23
Unfortunately, we have all gone astray of our Holy, all powerful God. Our sins seperate us from Him. Some of us have even gone as far as pretending He does not exist; conjuring falsehoods that we teach as truth. They are trying in vain to hide from the truth of Genesis Chapter 1’s 24 hour days.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. Romans 1: 24-25
Our loving and merciful God will not force us to follow Him and acknowledge His existance. He wants us to willingly follow Him. Working in us, through His infinite love for us and patience He only has, day by day to repent of Sin and worship Him with a gladness in our heart. He is awesome and very patient, working in each of us a our whole life.
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Romans 1: 32
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3: 23
For the wages of sin is death; Romans 6: 23a
Our sins seperate us from our merciful God. The punishment for sins is death and hell fire, for ever and ever. Sin filled humans cannot enter heaven and need to be forgiven of our sins by our righteous God.
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) Ephesians 2: 4-5
All is not lost, however, for there is hope. That Hope is our Holy saviour, Jesus Christ.
but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6: 23b
Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Galatians 1: 4-5
Our merciful God, sent His only begotten Son to pay for our sins. Jesus Christ, the Son of God who is God, paid our sin debt in full. His death on the cross was for our sins. If we repent of our sins and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we will be saved from our sins. The good news, gospel, of Jesus Christ is:
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4
We cannot do good works to get to heaven. It is impossible to do enough good to offset our sins.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2: 8-9
Our great and glorious saviour, Jesus Christ said the following:
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matthew 5: 44
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6: 14-15
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:3
Since we cannot do good works to earn our way to heaven; we need to forgive others, love all, repent of our sins, and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He knows what is in our hearts.
Believe our loving glorious God and be saved.
